F series parallel shaft helical gear motors are widely used in many fields such as industrial automation, conveying equipment, and packaging machinery due to their compact structure, high transmission efficiency, and low noise. However, long-term operation will cause the internal parts of the motor to bear greater loads and wear. In order to ensure its stable and reliable operation and extend its service life, scientific and reasonable lubrication and maintenance are essential.
1. Lubricant selection
Lubricant plays a vital role in F series parallel shaft helical gear motors. It can effectively reduce the friction between moving parts such as gears and bearings, reduce wear, and also play a role in cooling, cleaning and rust prevention. Correct selection of lubricant is the basis for ensuring the normal operation of the motor and extending its service life.
(I) Select lubricant viscosity according to working conditions
The viscosity of lubricant is an important performance indicator and directly affects the lubrication effect. For F series reducer motors, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as the operating temperature, speed and load of the motor to determine the appropriate viscosity. In low temperature environment, if the viscosity of lubricating oil is too high, it will cause difficulty in starting the motor and increase energy consumption; in high temperature environment or high load conditions, if the viscosity is too low, it will not be able to form an effective oil film and it will be difficult to meet the lubrication requirements. Generally speaking, low viscosity lubricating oil should be selected in low temperature environment, such as ISO VG 32 or lower viscosity grade oil; high viscosity lubricating oil should be selected under high temperature and high load conditions, such as ISO VG 150 or even higher viscosity grade oil.
(II) Pay attention to the performance indicators of lubricating oil
In addition to viscosity, other performance indicators of lubricating oil should not be ignored. Lubricating oil with good antioxidant properties can effectively resist oxidation and deterioration, reduce the formation of sludge and paint film, and keep the lubricating oil clean and have good lubrication performance during high temperature and long-term use. Lubricating oil with excellent anti-wear performance can form a protective film on the surface of components such as gears and bearings, reduce the degree of wear, and extend the service life of parts. In addition, the anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties of lubricating oil are also critical, which can effectively prevent the internal metal parts of the motor from rusting and corrosion, especially in a humid or corrosive gas working environment.
(III) Choose the right type of lubricant
The commonly used lubricants for F series parallel shaft helical gear reducer motors are mineral oil, synthetic oil and semi-synthetic oil. Mineral oil is relatively cheap and suitable for reducer motors under general working conditions; synthetic oil has better high temperature stability, low temperature fluidity and wear resistance, and is suitable for harsh working conditions such as high temperature, low temperature, high speed or high load; semi-synthetic oil combines some advantages of mineral oil and synthetic oil, and has a moderate cost performance. When selecting the actual type, the type of lubricant should be reasonably selected according to the specific working environment and requirements of the motor.
2. Sealing technology
Good sealing technology is an important guarantee for the normal operation of F series parallel shaft helical gear reducer motors. It can effectively prevent lubricant leakage and prevent external dust, moisture, impurities, etc. from invading the motor interior, thereby protecting the internal parts of the motor and maintaining a good lubrication state.
(I) Common sealing forms
Contact seal: such as lip seal, is a common contact seal. It forms a sealing barrier through the close contact between the lip and the rotating shaft to prevent lubricant leakage and external contaminants from entering. The lip seal is easy to install and has a good sealing effect. It is suitable for occasions where the speed is not too high and the working environment is relatively clean.
Non-contact seal: The labyrinth seal is a typical representative of non-contact seal. It uses a complex channel structure to make it difficult for lubricating oil and external pollutants to pass through, thereby achieving sealing. Labyrinth seals do not have friction and wear problems, are suitable for high-speed rotation occasions, and have strong adaptability to the working environment.
(II) Key points for seal installation and maintenance
When installing seals, ensure that the size of the seals matches the motor components and the installation position is accurate. Avoid damaging the seals during installation to prevent seal failure. Check the status of the seals regularly. If the lip of the lip seal is found to be worn, aged, or deformed, or the channel of the labyrinth seal is blocked or damaged, it should be replaced or cleaned in time. At the same time, pay attention to keeping the sealing part clean to prevent impurities from affecting the sealing effect.
3. Regular maintenance indicators
Establish a scientific and reasonable regular maintenance system, and inspect and maintain the F series parallel shaft helical gear reducer motor according to clear maintenance indicators, so as to timely discover potential problems, take effective measures to repair and prevent them, and ensure that the motor is always in good operating condition.
(I) Lubricant inspection and replacement
Inspection cycle: According to the working environment and operating conditions of the motor, formulate a reasonable lubricant inspection cycle. Under normal working conditions, it is recommended to check the lubricant every 500-1000 hours of operation; under harsh working conditions, such as high temperature, high humidity, and dusty environment, the inspection cycle should be appropriately shortened, and can be checked every 200-500 hours.
Inspection content: Mainly check the level, color and state of the lubricant. The lubricant level should be kept within the specified scale range. If the level is too low, it is necessary to add the same type of lubricant in time; observe the color of the lubricant. If the color becomes turbid, black or emulsified, it means that the lubricant has deteriorated and needs to be replaced.
Replacement cycle: Under normal circumstances, the lubricating oil of the F series gear motor should be replaced every 3000-5000 hours of operation. However, if the lubricating oil is found to be seriously deteriorated or the motor is abnormally worn, the lubricating oil should be replaced in advance.
(II) Temperature monitoring
The temperature during the operation of the motor is an important indicator reflecting its operating status. By installing a temperature sensor or using an infrared thermometer, regularly monitor the temperature of the motor housing, bearing parts and gearbox. Generally speaking, the normal operating temperature of the F series parallel shaft helical gear motor should be controlled between 60-80℃. If the temperature exceeds 90℃, there may be problems such as poor lubrication, excessive load, and poor heat dissipation. It is necessary to stop the machine in time for inspection, find out the cause and deal with it.
(III) Vibration detection
Vibration is also a key parameter for evaluating the operating status of the motor. Use a vibration detector to regularly detect the vibration amplitude and frequency of the motor. When the motor is operating normally, the vibration amplitude should be within the specified range. If the vibration amplitude suddenly increases, it may be caused by gear wear, bearing damage, unbalanced installation, etc., and further inspection and maintenance are required.
(IV) Noise monitoring
The noise of the F series gear motor in normal operation is relatively stable and small. When the motor has abnormal noise, such as sharp friction, impact or periodic abnormal noise, it may indicate poor gear meshing, bearing failure or loose internal parts. The motor should be shut down in time, the motor housing should be opened for inspection, the noise source should be found and repaired.
Through scientific and reasonable lubricant selection, advanced and reliable sealing technology and strict and standardized regular maintenance, the wear of the F series parallel shaft helical gear motor can be effectively reduced, the probability of failure can be reduced, thereby significantly extending its service life, improving the reliability and stability of equipment operation, and providing strong guarantee for the efficient and continuous operation of industrial production.
